Re: Pike in Lanarkshire.

Hi mate, I know it's an old post but there is a good few places in south lanarkshire, I am from lanark and have just got back into fishing, tend to fish local but never tried lanark loch due to it being as busy, I mostly fish the white and red loch up he back of carnwath both are decent, the white has limited spots you can fish due to tree's and in summer the weed is brutal, the red is good although with it being a peat pond you really need for the rain to have been off for a few days to keep the water clear as visibility is poor, only had a few jack pike in the white but got a good 11 punner form the red. No permit is required which is good although a group of eastern european c*nts have lowered the number of decent size pike quite considerably in recent years. Not been up since September but I think a trip is in order soon. There is few other places I am going to try over the next couple of months, a couple of ponds in the Shotts area and a reservoir just off the M8 near hearthill.
