| croc hunting @ broadlands went to broadlands 2 day to have a play with the crocs. day started bit later than planned as the was a good band in my local nite b4, but got there for 9.30 and my fav spot was gone. so i wondered around the lake till i saw some fry jumping around and been spooked. things were slow but by 11 it all changed. i had 2 pike on at the same time....typical after i got the first 1 in and realeased i pulled the 2nd 1 in and got a piccy as it came in  both were small, around 3lb 10 minutes later i had another 1 bit better this time at 6lb  then just after 12 i had a nice fat 8lb pike which gave a very good fight and i expected a bigger fish. sorry no piccy but it had to go back quick and be revivied ,as it was very tried then it went dead as a door nail, the fish were there as the live bait were going nuts but thay just did not want to feed. just after 4 i was about to pack up when my rod flew off the stand and i had 1 last pike..........well pikeling at no more than a pound , the trout it eat was about the same lenth........lol cracking day and plan is to have another go tomorrow morning then get home in time to watch the saints paint ball throphy __________________ http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...xt80382370.gif     |

Last week I had 1 pike at 5lbs from my usual haunt but this week it's up a good 8 or 9 feet the place is near unrecognisable!! The weather over here is a joke! Maybe get a few pics tommorow...
