may be a stupid plan , but i'm going

well the itch is almost unscratchable

I have got to go

but the canal looked like chocolate the other day and we have had more rain since( so not sure if kilns or turfs acess is ok either) ,and the rivers are a torrent

so i'm heading double locks upwards somewhere early dooors with the stinkiest baits i can find( and hope the pike smell them out),

be back in time for the rugby though hopefully with a 20 in the bag

i can but dream, but got to be in it to win it

dave

Re: may be a stupid plan , but i'm going

well that was quite horrid this morning, but heres a wee report

woke for an early start at 6 hearing the rain lash down on windows, rolled over for an extra hour

so eventually at adbrook section of canal and all set up and fishing by 8am

which is of cause when the weather changed a tad for the worse

view back to the bridge

view back to the smelly factory ( carcus incineration plant.so that smoke you see really stinks of burning flesh )

nothing happened ger so at 11 i moved 1/2 way back to the bridge
but again nothing, and was even closer to the rowers . so the lure of the rugby and a dry out before this evenings efforts swayed me

dave

oh didnt quite blank but does a snail count

it was properly hooked and all

Sorry to hear about the blank, but thanks for the pics and the report. They did say the canal fishing had slowed to a snails pace!!
