Unhappy Help regarding kebabs

Hi
having used fish chunks (especially mackerel and herring) with some success, I heard about fish bit kebabs. has anyone got any idea how they are made, and how they are hooked.

Re: Help regarding kebabs

a mate used one a couple of years back chris, the chunks of fish are mounted on a hair rig set up under the final treble of the rig,
it looked good but all i can say is that he used it on a day when there were pike everywhere and it didnt get touched
that convinced me about how effective it was

Re: Help regarding kebabs

Hi mate
I have had some success on a local lake using triangular chunks of mackerel and herring so I thought kebabs might be an idea. I just couldn't visualise how it would attach to the hook. Undeterred by your negativity and always a champion of lost causes lol, now I know how to do it, I shall go and try it. If I am successful I shall open a kebab shop in a shallow corner of the lake and make a bloody fortune. Seriously though many thanks for taking the trouble to reply to my query I will keep the forum informed of my results.

Regards
Chris

Re: Help regarding kebabs

you can add a bait popper to the kebab to pop it up

there are also a couple of devices on the market now that can be used to hair rig the bait.
