Going Gloucester canal 23/02/10 anyone got any hotspots for me to try...i know where kabbychris caught his but wondering if any more places?

been told all sorts of course fish and even carp! Im going for the pike though or even a Zander (never seen one).

I've caught carp (about 1/2 a pound mind you...)out of the Gloucester/Sharpness canal as far down as slimbridge in the past I guess they do get all over....but mainly small silvers,bream,eels,ruffe & pike down the far end towards Sharpness couldn't say for the Gloucester end.

I spoke to a couple of locals when I was down there, apparently they are getting Carp in the high 20s past the pilot Inn

GerryT from this forum recommends the swims near the timber merchants, I believe they call the area the PIPE SWIMS

Went to the left of the Pilot (near the boat moorings) had a couple out of there two weeks ago biggest 9lb didnt even get a bite this time.
