| Anywhere fishing pike this week? Here's one for all you experienced pikers out there! Obviously this weeks weather is really extreme, but I see that Suturday's weather for the Soar will just scrape above 0 degC. My question is, is there any point in trying at all? Has anyone had any success anywhere in the last week or so? I managed a couple of half decent fish last winter on a still water in Norwich when it was frozen, but that was a one-off frost and the temp had been just above freezing all the preceding week. Does the fact that it's been baltic all week mean there's little chance on Saturday? Or is it worth trying to find a low point in the river bed and dropping in a couple of deads? Cheers Chappa |

| Re: Anywhere fishing pike this week? Agree with the above... and its not even as bad here in Northern Ireland as the mainland! but i have been out a few times over the last 3 weeks and just a single pike to be had! Even if the temperatures to make it above 0 degrees on saturday there is no hope that any still waters will be fishable.. tight lines, BW __________________ Blackwater Tackle Supplies Keep Ulster's Waters Healthy, Practice Catch and Release! |
