What bs Braid?

Being a beginner I'm getting a bit confused on advice on which bs braid to use for general dead baiting (I'm probably getting mixed up with advice on mono)
Also would you back the braid with mono? I read an earlier thread that mentioned doing this will prevent the braid from spinning on the spool of a bait caster (I'm using fixed spool reels) does the same happen on a fixed spool reel?

Re: What bs Braid?

I personally use min 30lb breaking strain braid for all my deadbaiting. I wouldnt even think of using mono any more. I tend just to fill the spool with braid - a bit more expensive but it gives me confidence in my fishing.

regarding over runs on a fixed spool, this does not happen as far as i am aware. never happened to me any ways.

Tight Lines
