| First trip of the season Well the first trip of the season was not as successful as i would have liked. Arrived a chew valley overcast and mild with very little wind and a very clear lack of water a good couple of meters differant to last year. although this made a lot more of the lake accessable got set up along woodford bank through the trees well it was a slow day only one fish which came after about an hour and a half only a small fish. After lunch the sun came out and with it came a second run which resulted in a fish on for a few seconds then nothing, oh well it was good to be out and i will be back there in just over a week. I have to say a few fish were brought out further along the bank towards the lodge, the guys there must have found a group of feeding fish. I do feel the lack of depth probably didn't help |
