Re: ground baiting for pike

Used it at the weekend for the first time, covered assorted deadbait chunks with it and send it out in the baitboat with my brown trout bait, keep dropping of freebies all day, turned out to be one of those days when everything came right, had 7 fish biggest going 18lbs 11oz smallest 9.15 dont know if it was the pred plus but will be useing again. On oils i normally use the Et oils exspensive compared to others but i have faith in them after useing for so long, still have some of his haggis and kipper oil left, you should smell that Yee haa it reaks.

Re: ground baiting for pike

have tried various methods over the years,i have tried throwing in bits of fish,i have minced fish up and frozen it into ice cubes and thrown it in and have also used standard crumb groundbait to attract the roach and therefore attract the pike,
my verdict is inconclusive, but like many other baits and groundbaits it cant do any harm,
i will buy some when i see it in the tackle shop just to try it

Re: ground baiting for pike

yeah it cant do any harm we have also tried the blood red scent trail its like liquid fish that you paint on your deadbait just before you cast out but yet to catch on a treated fish but its boosts your chances i think

Venue i fished well dont like to say m8,no offence but good fishing is hard to find these days so tend to keep it to myself and close fishin buddies.
