cant get the pike hes imposible to catch.

near my alotment there is a MASSIVE pike in the river it is always around the bridge . me and a mate have been trying to catch it for easly a month. it folows the lures right up until it cant anymore i have tryed every lure posible/. every think from ruber fish to metel spiners to bobers the lot. ive tryed even float fishing right near it. and have had no luck there is only a strip of about 15 foot where its posible to fish for him as there is mass loads of weed and reeds down the rest of the river. so 15 foot to get a pike to snatch isnt a lot. any ideas before i jump in and try catching it . lol /.....at the moment im like this and i want to be doing this please any ideas pleaseeeeeeeeee

if live baits allowed that would be my plan
or wobble a small dead bait to be more natural

Also think of the time you are fishing Pike will hit bait if they are really hungry so by changing your times of fishing you will find the best feeding times mate.
