loch awe pike fishing

was up loch awe pike pishing at the weekend. didnt catch anything but it was a cracking weekend. a few boys from manchester caught a pike while spinning at the bason across the water from the castle it was about 6lb, and the b4 we got there 2 boys fishing got a fish of just over 20lb, the took a picture of it, some size.

Cracking swim,only problem is water levels,constantly up/down due to hydro
dam,hit it when the waters right and you could end up with a real nice fish.

Next time your planning your trip phone Allan (Riparian owner)for the water
conditions,if its low there are several other swims which will produce

old allan, thats the best bason to fish in is his water, doesnt charge for the kids and he,l take your gear back up to the car on his quad for a fiver. ive had good days up loch awe and the river orchy.
