| Loughgall Me, my mate, and my dad went to Loughgall Country Park for a nights pike fishing. I've been out there quite a few times in this last 2 months, but have only caught one jack pike in the process (using a plug). I've became lazy so we all tried bait fishing, using a mixture of mackeral tails, perch, roach and smelt. So, we found our spot, and within 5 minutes, my da got one.  Just a wee one, but me and my mate were raging cuz we hadn't even set up yet!  So we sat about and had a few beer for another 40mins before anything else happened, then BANG! Dad's rod went again...   It actually came in right and well. Only took about 10mins to land it and get it back in. Then about 9.50pm (shortly before we packed up) I got a bite. Was a real fighter, in and out of the weeds like a mad man... but eventually I landed it.  Was only half the size of the big one that my da got, but i was happy enough to be honest!!   So here's lookin forward to wednesday nite again at loughgall. Then all being well, we're heading out to it at 7am sat morning! Cant wait! lol     |

| Re: Loughgall Cheers lads, was definately an enjoyable one! Blackwater - It is a stocked lake yeah, and I've seen a few fella's out trying for carp. (Haven't seen a winner yet though! lol) Dave - No mate not yet, but my new stuff is arriving today, so once I get a min, I'll PM you and get the details off you if you don't mind? Could a MOD resize them pics for me? Didn't realise they were so big! |
