I've heard that holly is good wood to carve, is this so? I plan on coppicing some later this year if you'd be interested in any of the wood. Otherwise it goes in the woodburner.
I also have lots of seasoned lime, too soft for use, but if you wish to carve, I have some.

not fussy mate as long as its big enough to carve a lure from! and the dead lion sounds good!

looks amazing. the color is nice but if with jointed ,that would be nice too. i have the jointed trout with similar color same as yours,looks amazing too.
