Re: big pike

w.t.f asif thats not true, the record is like 40 lb, i dunno but if its more it wont be much more

the record
Derrick Amies With a Pike Capture of 36lb 6oz. Derrick caught two 40lb pike, the first was 41lb 8oz in Feb 1983. The second was 42lb 2oz in Aug 1985 both fish came from the River Thurne system and was the current British Record.
the record rod and line fish. and i read the article, on the huge pike ,and sed most likely to be around the 50 lb mark

Re: big pike

if you want to read about the 'endrick pike' there is an interesting account in fred bullers wonderful book " the doomday book of mammoth pike " ,
the head is indeed the only part of the fish to survive but highly respected pike anglers like fred estimated the weight at 70lb,
that guy has caught more pike then all of us have had hot dinners and i for one believe it
