 1 out of 4 in 4 not bad got granted a late pass yesterday ( so loaded car before work and pray son was ok at school and wife didnt get a meeting sprung on her) 11am it was confirmed all systems go  so straight after work i was off down the lime kilns( predictable aint I  ) headed onto bend where i last fished with TJsent out 1 rod ledgered makkie other floated smelt also had a wee flick arround with a new spinner which i heard was working well, 2nd cast and i missed a hit so recast same spot and bingo small jack on , which managed to spit lure in an impressive arial display then 2 casts later and i though i had overcast the ledger rod as it bleeped 2 or 3 times so i stopped winding and bingo the bleeps continued, lifted rod and had a good heavy weight on a short fight later and I saw a nice double just out of net range.That then twisted again in the air and sheared the line as was holding trace accross mouth  , I was gutted and also worried as left a pike out there with a set of trebbles in its jaws, sorrywell I tried to re catch it to set it free but the swim seemed ruined so after an hour i moved nearer the wall, as there were people feeder fishing on bank and i hoped that would draw the bait fish in  ledger rod went off almost straight away with a blistering run which i lifted felt and then lost in one easy motion this was getting annoying, recast straight away to same spot and ohh yes 5 minutes later the rods away again and after a cracking fight with several long runs a beautifull 12 1/2 lber is at my feet sorry i wanted to try getting timer pic done but this fish had given all and struggled unhooking as trebbles were in both jaws thus clamping jaws shut, so it was swiftly back afterr this quick pic so all in all a good little session that promised more but was in end 4 hours , 4 takes and a nice double I'm happy  dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
