snow pike ? snow such such luck

it all started so promising,i got up at stupid o clock to be greeted by an inch of snow outside,
only problem was there wasn't any snow at the lake,

never mind a snow pike will be another day,got into my swim and comfortable with the bacon cooking for breakfast by 05.30, all was quiet,i suppose i should count myself lucky the lake wasnt frozen,
i chose a nice comfy swim in a normally productive area,

but try as i might i only got one take,at about 1030 i had a jack of about 5lb - ish take a popped up smelt,

that was about it,no more action apart from a one toner which turned out to be a coot which took a liking to my half bluey bait

a cold but enjoyable day shame the fish didnt want to play
