| Floody Awful Hello all, The session did not turn out as planned, firstly there was no fish  and there was a fairly fast wind. The lough last week was in flood around 2 foot and was the highest i had ever seen it. Until this week, where it had flooded by atleast another 2 feet . It was on the verge of being dangerous as the banks were very soft and slippy and the wind was constantly on our backs. But we still managed to get set up without much fuss.  The river which flows into the lough usually is only a small stream of about 3foot in depth and today it must have been about 8foot and it was about to burst its banks.  I must have under estimated the amount of rain this week  . i actually thought the lake might have went down a bit.The lake has risen into the surrounding fields in the next photograph it is possible to see were the edge of the water is supposed to be, as there is a large read bed visible about 20 foot into the water  Well all these factors resulted in us packing up early with nothing to show, there wasn't a sign of fish on the alarms although there were quite a few showing on the surface. I was planning on heading out tommorow but because of what i found today i dont think i will bother.
