Exter Canal

Senior Management has given the green light for Saturay and I will be catching Pike on the Exeter Canal....Leave home by 7.45.. Exeter Angling Centre to pick up a permit by 9.00 wet lure by 9.30..Pike at 9.35...Cuppa!

Its outrageous.....Blank Again!! Sorry guys...

Fished my butt off again for zip.....Water was prob a bit on the coloured side for lures is all I can put it down to....That or all of a sudden I am total s**t!

All things aside...did like the canal...The Savagear lures (jelly and 3 joint hard) look amazing in the water, they will deffinately kill at some point...best action I have ever seen...

mmm same result as me then , i did 4 hours at the kilns, and amazeingly i was only one fishing there, did see someone lure fishing from other bank??

mind you water was like chocolate and very very high, and with a bitterly cold howling wind, not a touch , next time

Worth noting the far end of the canal access (over the railway bridge, past the pub) is totally underwater...I drive a 4x4 and bottled it...looked pretty deep to me...

its fishing well at the mo, 20 fish a session easily do-able.....
wouldnt bother with kilns though!
