| Out Tommorow (27.12.08) Evening, Heading out once again to my local lough to target specimen pike, i know that they are in the lake, as i have saw the photos of three 20lb+ fish also i have seen pictures of two or three more fish above 16lb. About five years ago my dad and i also caught and released one 10lb fish and two 11lb fish, So these fish should have grown since then possibly to 15lb+. The lake itself is not overly big but it is very deep and i beleive the key to catching the specimens is to find the features on the bottom, so i am going to invest in a cast out depth finder( Any suggestions in models brand etc ??) I will as usual be ledgering Eel Sections, Makerel Tails and whole Roach. Fingers crossed that i will be able to report on a nice double figure pike ![]() I'll let you know how i get on in my "Specimen hunt" tommorow, Cheers, Blackwater __________________ Blackwater Tackle Supplies Keep Ulster's Waters Healthy, Practice Catch and Release! |
