Spent the morning down on the Avon at Limpley stoke, wanted to get there early but yet again bed was just too comfy did get there about half eight yep you guessed it swim i wanted in the weir pool was gone however the next one up was free flow is pushing through a bit here.


Wasn't long before the right hand rod was away and the first of the day was on its way nice little fish of 6 and a half pounds

Nothing else out of this swim only a dropped take.
Time for a change and the swim i was after was now free fished one to the far side and the second to the near side. Not long before the far side rod was in small jack could only just get half mackey in. Back out to the far side and away again with dropped run and another before i had two more fish out one pushing 7Lbs.
All in all an enjoyable morning not doubles but plenty of fun these river pike seem to go a bit more than stillwater fish

was a nice spot, but the second swim fished better where the weir pool opens up, shame i couldn't have stayed longer as it was full of fish.
