My visit to Chew

Not much to report on my trip to Chew arrived 7:30am and fished till 3pm
in that time had 1 dropped run and then a second run which connected with a good fish for a few mins before nothing managed to shed the hooks.
Not many fish showing at all along the bank i was fishing guy next to me had two small pike.

this is one place where one of those boats would come in handy

so if anyone has any diy plans for a boat please feel free to send em my way

Daunting I think. I recall an article from sometime in teh '80s, about pike anglers using ballons to act like a large sail to get a rig out along way.
Bound to be cheaper than a bait boat.

Yep, and by the look of the waves it seems that what wind there was, was blowing towards you anyway.

If that was the case - what about a short cast to the bottom of the shelf in front of you? or did you try that?
