Need help to change this part on reel please

Hi. Just joined today - so please be gentle.
Have a Banax 5600 Untouchable Badger Free Runner Reel, which has a section under the spool. Replacement parts came with reel - but no instructions of how to change. Have no other reel like this. No-one seems to know. The top thread doesn't unscrew ( either thread). Hopefully two pictures accompany this message. Thanks JJJack

Re: Need help to change this part on reel please

hi jack, first of all welcome to the forum,
this is a difficult one,i am not familiar with these reels at all,
the top thread doesnt unscrew you say, on some of my earlier reels the central spindle was held in place by a screw at the rear of the reel,if that is the case the spindle will pull out,
i'm only guessing

Thankyou for your welcome fishypaul .. and suggestion.

Unfortunately, no screws there - just the brake drag.

It really is a puzzle, and as you can see, the part does need changing as it has cracked. The reel jams.
