| countdown continues well again i was out as time is running out on my personal countdown to catch a pike there are now only 11 days left and I know 4 are taken out already with other duties ( well ok work) so that leaves 7 if lucky to get out on them all to save the year blank today i went for a spin along the far bank of canal for the first time lures used dureing the trip were a gold toby, orange and green shads and white rapala starting at countess wear i walked down past boats at lime kiln( seems odd seeing from this side  there is definately not as much access from this side but is much quieter stopped at the motorway bridge as is seriously weeded out past here  and here I so NEARLY did it  and it was my fault as i had a good follow from a jack and i snatched it from him as he went for it   anyway after spending ages here trying to retempt him i headed back and then up the top stretch to double locks but no further follows so drowned sorrows as ever( lovely pint called warriors double locks IPA but is 6%  ) then back to car on opposite bank again blanking so that was another 4 hours and 4 -5 miles walked and covered but undeterred I will be back v soon ( prob tommorrow ) especially seeing the kilns are less weedy than expectedwatch this thread i shall do it   dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives     |
