| NO FISH (but a good day out) fished pontsticill today which is a 300 acre resevoir baits were mackeral,smelt,herring and sprats as only sea baits allowed.conditions were bright and sunny with not a breath of wind so the water was like a mirror got there at 6 30 just as it was getting light (beautiful time of the day) all was quiet till around 4oclock when a beep on the alarm was followed by a screaming run which i struck and all went solid fish on played the fish for a few minuets got it to the surface and it all went slack couldnt belive i lost it  it was a good fish well into double figures me thinks fished on till 5.30 then called it a day was a great day out even though i didnt catch. theres always next week.     |
