can any one suggest a good reel for casting dead baits long distance that would also be able to take a braid line

i am a fan of the shimano 10,000 range and that reel could certainly do what you want,
but there are cheaper reels on the market that might suit,a couple of friends i went to france with recently were using okuma reels,they seem a good reliable bit of kit as well

I have a pair of Daiwa Regal-x4550BRT that i have had for a good few years and used for pike fishing

the body of the 10 000 is the same as the 6 000 up so depends on distance you want/need to cast

you just pay more

would say 6000 and above would be good see what deal you can get
