| Re: Which dead to pick? Hi, Captain Hook I tend to use makeral and roach on a venue which i have never fished as pike on all waters seem to like these baits. If you are going to fish the same venue for pike several times it is best to find out what the pike are feeding on naturally. To do this i would try to catch some of the smaller fish by float fishing maggots and once you have a good idea what small coarse fish are in the venue then stick to deadbaits of those species. This always helped me, Tight Lines, BW __________________ Blackwater Tackle Supplies Keep Ulster's Waters Healthy, Practice Catch and Release! |

| Re: Which dead to pick? captain hook why not try wobbleing a dead bait, roach work well if you hook them lower treble in flank and the upper treble at the head end be sure to strike after just a few seconds of feeling the take to avoid deep hooking the pike this way you cover more water when dead baiting |
