| Pike Fishing; Near Great Yarmouth? I've got a couple of weeks off of work and what better way is there to do a bit of Pike fishing to waste away my time. At the moment I have only been fishing the canal at Somerton, the odd hour or two, because I really don't have an idea of where to fish - I've fished Somerton with okay results. It's such a small area to manueavre around and it's really weedy. I've had two 4LB and a 8LB Pike all fished off a lure in Somerton - it has worked wonders in the short time I've had. What I'd really like to do is broaden my horizons and fish in an area I have belief in! Somewhere where I can catch big Pike in and can enjoy the fight. I was wondering where-else I could fish and how easy it is too get there. I can drive, but don't want to travel too far, UNLESS!!! the're big Pike! Any instructions on how I get there would be greatly appreciated and any other information would be excellent. Thanks in advance, Jamie x. PS - I'm not an 'unexperienced' angler because I have done a lot of fishing in the U.S.A for Pike, Muskellunge (Pike family but much more of a fight pound - for - pound). My personal best is, at the moment, a healthy 27LB Pike in the U.S.A. I'm hoping to crush that here in East Anglia - REMEMBER my NAME!! **Thank YOU** X. |
