Re: Dead Baits

most dead baits work mate, all of the common coarse fish work plus many sea fish as well, the oiley fish like herring and mackerel are favourites with others like smelt, sprat and sardine accounting for many good fish,
the recent additions to the list have been lamprey and bluey which are gaining popularity all the time,
don't discount the sea anglers favourites of squid and sand eel as well

Re: Dead Baits

I've not done too much in the way of Pike fishing this year but I tend to use two rods. One with Sardine and one with Blond Trout. I will usually pop the Trout up with pop up foam inserted into the fish. If you are going to pop your bait up make sure you use plenty of bait elastic. you don't want the pike to be eating the bait with all that foam inside it!
