Nice one Dan B. Keep the location to yourself. Good pike fishing is hard to find and when you do it doesn't often last long.

Good luck with the lures.

I'm always up for helping people but specific locations are a no-no for pike. That may sound mean but if a water gets hammered then it can ruin it for everyone.

Congrats on a STONKER fish Dan. I got my 1 and only Pike on a bread bait and size 12 hook back in the late 50's.Fishing for small roach in a pond in Chelmsford Essex,the float kept bobbing up and down but frustratingly the little buggers would only nibble,suddenly the float shot off under like a torpedo! I reefed it in to find a VERY surprised Pike with the little hook jammed around 1 of his teeth.Put it proudly in my keep net and his tail touched his nose ,he was bent double ! At the age of 9 I was bursting with pride

wow nice m8 hav never n wouldnt expect to catch on bread not a pike anyway i geuss u was shocked too. im relativly new to fishing n fishing here is ok but were u are is much better i hope u realise how lucky u are bein there n not in this mess of a country. Theres things i would like to do were u are like see the red rock n walk the sydney bridge n most of all fish ;) i will be fishing mostly with lures in the summer so will hav to get myself a pb caught with a lure. take care m8 bye for now
