Where to pike fish in N Wales?

It's my dad's 60th in May & me , my brother & dad would like to go pike fishing in N Wales. We would like a quiet place where we can pitch the bivvy on the waters edge & just do our own thing we would be going in late May, does anyone know of a good place that doesnt cost the earth ?

Hi,
There is a really nice lake called Maes Mawr in Mid Wales which holds some big fish. It is very remote and only about £5 a day. Near Wrexham

Try bala lake mate , not so sure on the bivvys ,but loads of camping grounds around that area.
