| Re: preparing for the pike season and the winter ahead also cant wait! somthing magical about the white with frost dawns and the pike hunt in general! a total diffrent tipe of fishing and can not recomend it more to the sea anglers that havnt yet tried it! cant beat a sunny winters day out on a punt tucked right into the reeds out of the wind! if like me any body uses a punt a top tip is go to a carped shop and get a large off cut of carpet or underlay! this cuts any noise right down (shuffling feet dropping forceps ect) also keeps your feet warm as toast! my favorite is either wobbling dead bait! got a bag of smelt i cought this year just twitching for it, also a live bait roach (free roaming) is absolute killer especialy if you can get a shoal of em feeding on pinkys and let the big old girls move in! when that shoal starts jumping you know ther under attack and the old hart starts racing i tells ya! if anyone from my area wants to hit a nature reserve i have access to and is up for sharing a punt just pm only condition is no press as this place is diamond and stacked! ive seen 35s come out, and hopfully only a matter of time for me. MAYBE THIS WINTER???+ __________________ SCUPPER A COMMERCIAL TOOOO DAY! |
