Pike fishing near Oban

Hi All,
I am off to Scotland for two weeks with the family in the summer ( if we get one) and we are near Oban.
I know Loch Awe is close by but do not know if you can fish for the pike in the summer can anyone advise ??
Are there any other waters nearby that anyone can recommend. This will be a first for me in Scotland so I want to try to get at least a couple of sessions in whilst I am up there.

I believe pike fishing is all year-round in scotland, some of the bigger waters fish at their best around june as well.

I absolutely love Scotland for pike fishing, I really haven't fished anywhere better when it comes to pike. One of my favourite places is Loch Ken in southern Scotland. You really are spoiled for choice (in a good way!), though.
