Question Pollan or Pollun or pollen

It's a bait for pike,but I've never heard of it.Can someone help.Cos it caught my mate,a 15,18,20 and 21lb in one session on the River Tees.
It's not PP btw it's tat asking.He did'nt log out last night.

the pollan is a fish that is native to ireland and has become a fantstic pike bait over the last few years and i would highly reccomend it .
i think the rreson it works well is probably because its naturally bouyant and will sit up naturally of the bottom with no aid of a poly ball .
its does not surprise me that your mate has done well on it especially if the baits has not been used alot on the water.
i remember having some same results when i started to experiment in using sand eels on a local water with fantastic results
i know that (baitbox ) sells them in there pike bait range and most good tackle shops will stock them
