yes 200 days does not sound long but more than long enough for things still to go wrong

Re: count down continues

ok i,ve been in contact with eurotunnel today to find out whats required for the booking

this is what i need to book the train from the drivers of the vehicles a A.S.A.P

make and model of the car

the height of the vehicle whether its over or below 1.85 metre including top box if being used

whether its powered by l.p.g if so it will not be allowed

name of driver
name or house number
first line of the address
post code .

now once this is done i can book it now to get best price i need to book early as the closer it gets to our holiday time the higher the price ok

although i will be booking it you will all have your own traveling refference number which i will make sure you have just in case of any problems.
insurrance
just while we talking about booking travel can i remind you to make sure you take up travel and health insurrance this can be costly abroad if you don,t get any so make sure you do .
break down
also can all vehicle driver make sure they have suitable break down cover i,ll be again going with AA five star cover .

PASSPORT
i know i,ve asked but please check its valid as some people assume its ok then they find out to late .

euro,s
now it might be wise also to start checking to see whats the best price for euro,s
its up to yourselfs how much you take .
but one thing on bait as we are buying it there make sure you have allowed this in your spending cash for example on bait i,m allowing at least £250 you might think thats a bit over the top but i will just leave you with one thought
tip

THESE CARP IN KINGFISHER DID NOT GET BIG ON PVA BAGS OF BAIT .

so don,t expect to catch huge amounts if you are only going to buy a kilo

also don,t forget also you will need to pay for the food on arrival so please take that into account when sorting your euro,s (130 euro,s)

now this is important and i think those hoping to have a drink will agree allow 99% of your spending money for this ok

ok thats enough of the boring bits for now

i hope you are ALL up for a fantastic week and hope you are all now starting to get itchy and excited about going .

Re: count down continues

Thanks Kev for the info. I think Paul should be able to provide most details for the ferry. I agree with you, I'll spend about the same on bait too.

Oh yeah, I see where I went wrong there. Call me sceptical, but won't the train get wet? I'll bring my flotation suit just in case

Re: count down continues

well according to the owner the amount of bait you need out there you will not be able to spod it and there are a couple of boats at our disposal if we wish to use them .
i think if you get permission you can use a bait boat but i think you need permission if you can i might go a buy a microcat

You've gotta take pictures of this trip guys...

I really wanna see this bait mountain growing out of the lake like some under water volcanic eruption.

Kev could swim out, plant a flag on it and claim it in the name of the forum.

The Baitmaster bait mountain. It's got a certain ring to it!

I'll get me coat.
