| Re: count down continues yes it only seemed like yesterday when we decided to take on this french adventure infact it was 336 days ago that we paid and confirmed the trip and now 131 post later we are in the last fortnight . i would imagine after phoning every one over the last couple of days that every one only have a few odds and ends to pick up and then it will be all systems GO and we will embark on a journey across france to sample hopefully some truely awsome  fishing .anyone getting excited yet ???? tightlines kevin  Last edited by baitmaster; 05-06-2007 at 08:55 PM. |

| Re: count down continues Makes you realise the power of forums like this, if it was not for this forum then I certainly would not be going away to France, might not even still be fishing. I have learnt so much from here , and got to meet some members who have helped me get into fishing, and this trip will be a first for me, all due to this forum. So thank you Richard for hosting it, thank you moderators for keeping it going and thank you to all members for contributing. And thanks to all the old farts for letting me come along to France with you. |

| Re: count down continues well the last 10 day countdown is here finally and i don,t know how others are about this but like Richard the description of a two year old waiting on Christmas eve to open his presents is starting to feel a very good description on how i,m feeling  any way today the euro,s were picked up a the realisation was upon me that its tantalisingly close now . now on my way back from the post office i passed and had to pull in to the tackle shop ( well been rude to have driven past) wouldn,t it ??? any way i picked up a couple of bag filling items up that will probably not get used but looks good . i stood and pondered for a very long time like i do every time i go into angling direct at the reels and now i,m really thinking about buying the Daiwa Infinity X 5500 Baitrunners  well i still have a few days to decide whether to or not but as they are now only £189 each i am very tempted indeed , tightlines kevin |

| Re: count down continues Kevin, you really are a tackle tart, you know you will buy the reels, better than buying golf clubs! I thought I was lavish spending £35 on a new chair today!! well the last bits of tackle bought, last couple of rigs to tie and the tackle box to tidy up and I am ready! Got to work this weekend so my next break will be being Paul's navigator, so no time left for any more changes to the kit. |
