video diary

i know this is technology far beyond my capabilities,lets face it wristwatches are too technical for me.
i have put on my list for next year a video camera,i wonder if it could be possible to compile a video diary of our expedition to keep forever.

I think that would be a brilliant "souvenir" (I guess you could call it that) for us.

How were you thinking of setting it up Paul? Like a diary, with updates every now and again or just footage of us playing/landing fish etc..

I'd happily pay for a copy

as much as i would like to set it up,i have never used a video camera in my life and i'm afraid the reults may not be very good
i suppose having a video camera with us and everyone doing a little bit would be work.

just remember paul the end with the biggest lens should face towards who or whayt you are videoing and remember to turn it on first
nah joking aside if you are not very good with the camera maybe one of the other will be i,m sure and as you say if we all could contribute to it would be better .

The more the merrier I say, we would all have personal memories that way. I'm pretty good with the DV editing, I did one recently for my boys xmas DVD, turned out ok

Has anyone had any more thoughts about this?

I have a little video camera that I'm sure I'll be taking, but not sure if we're all doing one of our own, or just 1 person take a decent video camera and we all take turns too film bits.

Obviously quite a while to decide yet, but just interested to hear what everyone's thinking.

Anyone else doing a video diary then?

Going to take my little video camera and just do a few minutes each night re-capping on the day I think. Will try to get a few shots of the lake and hopefully some fish too.
