Talking Pods/Banksticks

What are you guys taking over to France, pods or banksticks?
I always use seperate banksticks here, but feel a pod may be better over there as I imagine some of the swims are perhaps concreted?

Anyway, been looking at 3 different pods and wondered what everyone thought, or if they had any preferences between them?

JRC Euro Pod

Like the look of this and I imagine it's a lot easier to pick up the rods (no bending down etc..) but can't see myself using one over here (I know Kev has one of these styled pods, are they overly big in swims?)

Fox A Pod

Like the look of these too, and they're a good price at £34.99. Just wondered if they were poor quality because they're quite cheap etc..

Fox X Pod Plus

Heard the Fox X Pod isn't that great, but the X pod plus is much better, and I like the style.

So, if anyone has any opinions I'd be glad to hear them.

Cheers.

Re: Pods/Banksticks

A foreign piece of equipment to me guys. But, just looking at the pix...I see an awful lot of joints and knees on the 'X-pod' = more points to break. Plus the horizontal members so close to the ground, I'd be afraind of stepping on it. (w/my bulk that would be the end of it )

Without ever having used one, looks alone, the 'Euro Pod' is the one I'd be drawn to.

I use a "Y" shaped stick I cut on the walk to the water or find on the bank. I'll leave it, it'll usually still be there when I come back.
