THE LAKE (kingfisher)

ok just to get you excited about the lake

i spoken to tony the owner as he phoned me as he saw my provisional booking and just wanted to introduce himself and let me know one or two things.
he also said when i get the rule and regs there will be other question i will need to ask but i will post the rule and regs up when i have them so if you have questions i can ask so we are aware of every thing ok.
now he told me the lake is 11 1/2 acres but he like to to say it nearer ten so we will have plenty of room also he told me we are fishing for about 350 to 400 big carp with at least 25 different 50lb with the average weight being 32lb YES! you heard right 32lb. (so they did not get that big by eating small beds of bait )
i ask if he had some spare unhooking mats as i think you will be needing some big ones and its ok he does have some there .
now i ask about tactics and he has told me if you want to catch lots of big fish be prepared to put the bait in he told me to tell the group its not like fishing in england and i can second what he said, he even stated that i have not yet experienced his water and even i will be blown away .
so lads make sure you cover your selfs for getting loads of bait as he says you get out what you put in if you put little in you will get little out .
i for one will look at 100 kilko,s ( if they want i will give it )
now with that in mind the marks we will be fishing will be are about 60/70 yards out and two boats are on hand to bait up with as he say you will not get enough out with a spod .
also check out the catch report for kingfisher lake next week the norfolk group who have just left there catch report will be up and they caught over 2000lb of carp for the week

so i hope this little insight has got you thinking on baiting i for one cannot comfirm enough how it important baiting can be to the success of a trip just make sure you are prepared to put it in!

Re: THE LAKE (kingfisher)

Blimey, if I get 100kg too, it's gonna be a slow journey to Paul's

Do you know how much it is for 100kg at Ken's?

Re: THE LAKE (kingfisher)

no no no dan
i was using it as an example and to prepare you and the others that you might need to put it in but not take all that with us what we will do is dan we will take a sack each (25kilo x2) of skreetings 6/8mm low oil content pellet and purchase more at the lake as and when it will be required.
i will take the test bait from tails up but i will buy bait from the lake and use what has become the carps food source .
just think of it this way the carp are very big in this lake now as i said in the top post they did not get that big by eating pva bags of bait or small beds of bait .
here,s an examlpe for ya last year i fished moorlands and there was another guy on the lake i had 53 carp he had 13 i baited heavily he used pva bags

now i,m not saying you have to do this but what i,m am saying its better to be prepared with the option and the knowledge that this tactic works

its a mentality thing or mind set you have to remember you are not fishing a day session you are there for a week plus you are there 24 hours not may be a morning or a a full day
so you should realise you will be using a bit more than a pva bag full plus its better to have either a lot of bait with ya or be able to buy extra if you need it
this is why preparation is an important part of any session plus the more info about a lake you know the better your chances of catching from there .,
so if you know they eat a certain food item you are going to use it so having knowledge that they can be greedy pigs you are armed with info you might need a bit of bait
also it goes for locating them also no point being at the other end of the lake
all i,m doing is giving us as much inside info as possible to give us the best chance of catching fish of a lifetime .
but i,m also going to have fun doing it its a holiday (SOD THE EXPENSE) and i,m looking forward to it and i,m going to enjoy the great company and catch
what more do we want
