Question Re: mersey

Going up to Mariners tomorrow with my little boy - he's 6. Any idea what time would be best 2 start fishing?

Its High tide at 4.30pm, so would it be sensible to fish from around 1pm? Its a high(ish) low tide at 3.7m, so I'm assuming there'll be water to fish in most of the day.

Re: mersey

Had a small codling a tiny whiting and a 1/2lb whiting.

My little lad loved it, although he found concentrating on the rod tips difficult - he was looking the other way for all 3 fish!

Re: mersey

When I said he had the 3 fish, what I meant was... I held the rod for him to reel in! LOL

We're not going to be there for a week or so - probably Nov 8th sunday due to the tides and other commitments, and the fact that this sunday it looks like blowing a gale.

BTW Several folk commented how well I cast the rods considering I'm a newby. Problem is though.

I'd love to pick your brains about tackle and bait stuff... fancy a session on the 8th?

Names Steve by the way.
