Norway,the report

Well ive been back a week now and ive had real trouble getting my pics up but i think i may have cracked it so here goes.
I arrived in Tromso on the saturday and moved straight down to the base i was staying on .
This was the view out of my window.

The next day i decided to have a bash and popped out to the jetty down the road.First chuck i had two coddling of about one and a half pounds,then another and then nothing.
I didnt get any pics as i forgot my camera

,anyway after a couple of hours i went back to defrost.
I was pretty busy during the week but got some time off at the weekend to have another outing.
This time i went to some floating pontoons.
I fished squid on the bottom on one rod and spun with shads on a crp rod.

As you can see though it was a great spot and very peacefull and quite,with a flask of tea and a big custard cake what more could you want.
Later on when it was dark i noticed some spashing about 40 yards out ,i cast nordic herring lures towards it but had no takes.
I then changed to a white shad which was taken imediatly.After a good scrap on the carp rod i landed this nice little Pollock.

This carried on for the next hour untill it was time to go and warm up.
Funny how you can sit all day without a bight then bang your into a steady flow of fish.
The next night i popped down the jetty and had some decent sport with coddling but nothing bigger than 2lb

And that was it ,the next week was spent working and then i flew back.Not great fishing but a very welcome change from Pompey pouting.
On my last night there i got talking to the base comander who is a very keen angler and he was telling me all the best marks and how good it is in summer.He said winter is very poor as all the big fish move away to spawn.
I really could have done with meeting him two weeks earlier.
One last thing ,Norways a great place for Tash growing.
