cod roe

Its febuary in Norway and very quiet on the shore front. BUT YES THAT BIG BUT is that the big cod are in and they are full of roe.I am struggeling to get my big one (biggest so far being 10 kgs)I work as a diver and spend a lot of time on the salmon farms were I do most of my fishing.the problem is not the shortage of big fish,it is that one can not let them run as there are are ropes everywhere in the water. the farmer will also not be happy if you put a hole in the salmon net.Anyway I have resorted to extra extra heavy tackle(How heavy I am too embarrased to say)but now the problem seems to be that the hooks are pulling out.
Anyway the point I wanted to get to is those roes.I was not very impressed when first trying them as they had been boiled,but one day I popped them into the foil in which I was baking a cod. WOW was that good.
so remember the next one you get with the roe, Dont waste it,its great.
