| Fleetwood today 16.7 2011 All week I've been debating weather to go East or west this weekend, high tides both ways. Fancied Barmston nr Brid, not done that mark but heard good thing about it in the past. Fancied 5 bar gate at Cleveleys. Heard that nothing was doing browsing a different forum. Got on Google Earth and started looking up towards Fleetwood, Rossall Point, anyway it was a 12.40 pm h tide. set off lateish cos someome call at home. managed to get away for 10.30am, normally just over an hours drive. attrocious weather slowed the pace. Got to Cleves and picked up some fresh lugs from the tackle shop. managed to get rod set up and away. There were several guys over to my left nearer the tower and must have been there a while. didn't see anyone catch. Me! had some massive bangs on the rod, struck! WEED!  the mor times I struck the more WEED. Those guys packed up around 3.30. I changed my rig to a 1 up1 down to try and beat, cocktail bait half a lug and a baby squid. The beach was pristine clean not a weed in site, had three casts in all, WEED_WEED_WEED packed up, drve back to Hudds and got in to the pub . Weather at Fleetwood wasn't too bad . Should have gone to Brid for another Flattie     |
