| Seaham Hall Beach Tonight - 23/01/07... Well, the conditions were ideal to try and capture a cod or two tonight. I went down armed with fresh yellows and fresh peelers hangin' out of their shells.... First cast and a fish of just under 9lb (is it a 9-pounder then???) safely on the beach....with a few scary moments in the breakers....  ....THIS IS DEFINATELY GOING IN THIS MONTHS FISH OF THE MONTH COMP!! ....a few hours later, and a total of 4 fish for 18lb on the beach...  .....I'd almost forgotten what a cod nod felt like, it's been so long..... ....By the way Baggie - a cod for species hunt mate.... I was using green impact leads tonight mate...(200gm/7oz)....dig my own worm mate, but the crabs were from Devon (a good mate of mine who's a tackle dealer looks after me!!) |
