The Terminator Trip

well, this trip was a rather eventful one to say the least. it all started at around half 5 when we got a lift down to the beach by my grandad (lives a few minutes away from it) at Horden...venue number one. and to sum up the sea conditions... we had a snowballs chance in hell of holding bottom.

so we gave it a shot anyway and cast in with some breakaways on ...2 out of the 3 we had

and first cast some ...erm... penis heads... cut dads line about 1/3 of the way down the shock leader and nicked his rig and lead! (couldnt prove it but im 99%)

anyway, after that my line snapped because of a rather rough bottom...you could tell because it had been squashed whereas dads was a clean slice.
so that was 2 rigs and 2 out of 3 bottom-holding leads gone with one rod out of action! we rang granda and were soon on the way to the twin steps at hartlepool to see if things were any better.
i would have took a picture of the swell but it was dark by then.

first cast out and what do i get? about a bleedin stone of weed...which then... snappped my line.

so having no leads capable of holding bottom and no shock leader left, we packed up and headed home...rather disgruntled and GUTTED (see below

)

and i just decided to take a piccy of the big russian ship in hartlepool...its quite blurry as it was took from a car but promise me...its a rather large ship!
