Re: mysterious flounders

Welcome to the forum. Ive been match fishing for some time now and won enough opens to know a thing or 2 about flatties. If you get pegged on any beach and youve the best bait going and they aint there you WONT catch them. I remember winning an open 250 anglers (no pressure) and i had the best bait and it worked, 2 weeks later i went to same beach and near enough drew the same peg and area and i had same best bait, i had 1 fish. Flounder and turbot move up and down the beach, some parts fish better incoming tide and some parts outgoing. Also at this time of year your scratching for one or 2. and they are smallish you might get the odd big one, but later on in the year sep/dec early jan they are in great numbers and size of bin lids. Its only april. I put on forum huge tips and was spat at mate. Trust me its too early. Saying that miracles can happen and they do. Tight lines and hope you catch a few. Its also bait, your rigs and how you fish them. This is a very good forum and you do get the odd prat who thinks he knows a thing or 2, I do and i give advice from alot of experience. Our opens over here start OCT/JAN and its 99% for flatties BIG ONES and alot of them.

Re: mysterious flounders

Lol. Hi nick, there are alot of things i dont know but shore fishing for flounders i do match fishing for them for the last 15 years far from full of it. Anyway im here to help and its up to those i try to help. If they try my advice they will catch a lot of fish, and nick i know one or two allready have. Those that do know and dont know might not let on i helped them thats there call. I have given alot of tips not all but far from the novice but right up there, and there brains are that small nick they cant work it out themselves, i have fished for my country(shore) not just once but too many to list and i caught alot of fish to do so. Nobody has to follow my tips, but i know alot are and will do=fi sh2. I will back up my words tenfold. But im keeping a tad reserved and not going to take crap inreturn for damn good advice. Tight lines mate and hope you catch plenty of carp. Yours in sport nick. Fish on.
