| a day in the life on sat 18th april. myself, big doug and curt the boy headed up to amble for a day of none pressure fishing . not a bad mornings fishing then after lunch it died a death.not a bite for hours, the wind started to pick up and that lovely spot on the harbour wall became a nightmare. things blowing allover the place then the worst thing happened!! when jumping up to a bite on his rod, curt the boy not just knocked the big box of bait into the water but it was more like a drop kick!!! with me and the big fellow looking on in shock as the box of rag, crabs and squid fell in what seemed like slow motion . that was it for amble so we packed up and headed home. on the drive back me and doug decided we wernt done yet so after dropping curt off we headded for our local bait shop and found our spot on the bank of the tyne and had really nice few hours in the sun just chilling, the tide wasnt right for fishing there but some times and this was one of those times when catching the fish isnt as important as just being there with a good freind!![]() |
