| wheres the fish gone???? anyone got any good fishing spots in the NE, as everytime I go fishing I just seem to stand there for hrs looking at a rod tip that never moves (  ) was at the gate on shileds pier on sat not even a bite all day. Any fishing spots would be apprecated???    |

| Re: wheres the fish gone???? i fished the byker side of the tyne yesterday and had some great sport. nothing very big but i got 15 fish in a 41/2 hour stint.(mostly codling with a few flaties throwen in. only 3 keepers tho. using only rag on the hook... hope this helps.. happy casting! |

I think the north east is about fished out was out on a 36 hour trip this week 10 pollack caught no cod at all not even 1 under sized we never even got a pouting the skipper couldn't have tried any more wrecks he said he has never seen it as bad. We fished all the way down to Whitby it must have just been one of those trips but never say die i will be back. |
