ive just moved back to the noth-east and was wondering if anyone could give any tips for fishing this fine coast. i have fished the tyne a lot this winter and had some success catching codling and the odd flatties. i do have a boat which will be in the water from about may (hopfully) moored at royal quays. any help would be spot on. what fish and where and what bait to use?

if its the river you fish in i live wallsend, never fished on a boat but im new too fishing but been quite successful catching fish i use rag all the time and im also trying blueys sometime this week, i have a good fishing spot but dont want many people knowing about it
