Re: Gambia...

Hi Guy's...

Just arrived back....pretty bad landing at Manchester, buffeted by strong winds, gets the old butt nippin I can tell ya...

Anyway, I'm gonna sort the pics out some time soon, but the temperature was always over a 100....and to give you some kind of idea what the fishing was like....catfish were a pest (plague proportions just like the doggy), Stingray to 32lb, Sand Shark (guitar fish) to 32lb, Jack Travelly to 8lb (these fellas don't half motor!!) Lady Fish to 7lb, Butterfish to 7lb (good eating and they can puff up like a puffa fish out of the water), Captain Fish to 7lb....all in all a good week and I will definately be going back next year...

Struggling to decide what fish to put in the Feb fish of the month comp...

Re: Gambia...

...Sorry guy's...but still sorting and editing the pics....but here's a fish I caught you may be interested in...

Giant Trevally - just under 8lbs...they just take you up and down the beach, marvellous fighting fish...(notice my rod damage - butt ring had to be taped up after a fish dragged it from the rest and down the beach - that was after the line disappeared from the reel and the clutch was off and reel out of gear with ratchet set....Gambia fishing is fabulous, can't wait to go back)

Ok I know I'm a bit white...!!!!but it was the first day!!!!
Temperature that day was 41 degrees.....
