Re: Python vs. Alligator

With all the flooding, damage and evacuations, there have been 2 or 3 bits on the news of gators and snakes being found in city limits. Usually w/a lump in them, which they x-ray to find a house pet inside.

I know a few fish with eyes bigger than their stomachs too. Caught several perch on plugs that are twice as big as they are!!!

Re: Python vs. Alligator

Talk about too big...I've seen pix of a catfish, tried to eat a basketball & got it stuck in its mouth, someone pulled the ball & it swam away.
see this...http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/catchfish.asp

Thank God we don't get them down on the Kings Sedgemoor Drain!

I spose frozen Gator baits could work well

Re: Python vs. Alligator

somthing just dosnt quit ring true with that pic!
why is the head of the python missing?
this so called profeser says the alligator may have scratched
its way out!
a constrictor will crush its intended pray to pulp, brake every bone before
even thinking about ingestion! looks like a fake to me!
they say it was a fight? snakes dont do fight, gators dont do fight
unless it another gator in its terratory, a snake and a gator fighting over terratory? both species just eat sleep mate they dont go
looking for a ruck and the possible risk of physical damage
unless it is gana mess with the biggest impulses and that is to eat and to mate, think about it!

Looks pretty genuine to me. Once the snake was dead anything could have bitten its head off. Another gater?
